At The Stone Bake Oven Company, we take pride in the quality of our ovens and
related products. We will review genuine manufacturing or material faults fairly and
reasonably.
Because our products are specialist, hand-cast, and often used in demanding
environments, warranty claims are assessed in context and are subject to the terms of
this policy.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the following warranty periods apply from the date of
delivery or, where installation is carried out by us, from the date of completion:
2 years for the main oven structure against defects in materials and
workmanship
12 months for accessories, ancillary items, and non-structural components
12 months for installation workmanship where installation is carried out by The
Stone Bake Oven Company
Any different warranty period stated in writing for a particular product, component, or
project will take precedence.
This warranty is intended to cover defects in materials or workmanship that arise under
normal and proper use during the applicable warranty period.
If a valid warranty claim is accepted, we may, at our discretion:
repair the product
replace the product or relevant part
provide a refund or partial refund
offer another reasonable remedy
The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature of the issue, the age and condition of
the product, and practical considerations.
This warranty does not generally cover:
normal wear and tear
cosmetic changes, weathering, staining, or surface ageing
minor variations in colour, texture, or finish
fine hairline cracks that can occur during curing or normal use
damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, neglect, impact, or accident
damage caused by failure to follow curing, operating, maintenance, or care
instructions
damage caused by unsuitable fuel, including inappropriate or poor-quality wood
damage caused by modifications, unauthorised repairs, or improper handling
damage caused by site movement, unsuitable bases, structural support issues,
or environmental conditions
defects or issues arising from installation by third parties
commercial loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, or business interruption
Fine hairline cracks and minor natural variation are common characteristics of hand-
cast wood-fired ovens and do not automatically indicate a defect.
To help protect your product and preserve any warranty rights, you should:
follow all curing, installation, operating, and maintenance guidance provided
use the product only for its intended purpose
use appropriate dry, seasoned hardwood or other approved fuel where
applicable
ensure the oven is installed on a suitable, stable, weight-bearing base
protect the oven appropriately from weather and moisture where recommended
stop using the product and contact us if a serious fault is suspected
If you believe there is a fault, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with:
your name and order details
a description of the issue
photographs or videos showing the problem
any other information we reasonably request
We may ask for further evidence before deciding how to proceed.
You must not carry out or arrange major repair work without our prior agreement if you
want us to consider the matter under warranty.
We may assess a warranty claim using photographs, videos, remote review, technical
discussion, or site inspection where appropriate.
No repair, replacement, refund, or other remedy is guaranteed until the claim has been
reviewed and accepted by us.
If we accept a warranty claim, the remedy offered will be at our discretion and may
include repair, replacement, supply of replacement parts, or another appropriate
solution.
Where a replacement or repair is provided, this does not necessarily restart the original
warranty period unless we expressly confirm otherwise.
Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, we are not responsible for third-party
costs connected with a warranty issue, including:
installer or contractor fees
crane or lifting costs
access equipment costs
removal or reinstallation costs where installation was not carried out by us
loss of use
loss of business or revenue
accommodation, travel, or scheduling costs
Nothing in this Warranty Policy affects your statutory rights.
If you are a consumer, you may have legal rights under UK law in relation to faulty
goods, goods not as described, or goods not of satisfactory quality. This policy is in
addition to, and does not replace, those rights.
If you have any questions about this Warranty Policy or wish to make a claim, please
