It’s time for another oven of the month and Steve Constantine’s beautiful Vento 100 oven is August’s worthy winner. We absolutely love his authentic brick hearth and dome design- it really is the centrepiece of his outdoor eating space. He’s used a stone tiled top around his oven and on the surrounding work surfaces, giving a sleek modern twist to his oven design. Thanks for sharing with us Steve!
Here’s what Steve had to say…
“We have always loved outdoor cooking and would often collect driftwood for BBQ’s and use a tripod and Dutch oven suspended over an open fire in the garden. Holidays to Cyprus introduced us to outdoor wood fired ovens and the wonderful flavours they produce.
We researched a number of outdoor ovens and companies on the market and settled on Stone Bake as the best. The ovens are top quality and the knowledge and support from all the staff at Stone Bake is second to none. Installation was carried out by our two friendly builders in a matter of a few weeks making use of the plans on the website. I must admit to not being able to wait to use the oven and we were already roasting and baking in the oven before completion of the overall build.
We have used our oven for roast meats, vegetables, a wonderful lamb Kurzi, lasagne, rhubarb crumble, slow roast belly of pork, pizzas and breads. We are still learning and experimenting with recipes and having a wonderful time doing so.”
