Congratulations to Dean Barrett – our September ‘Oven Of The Month’ winner! We chose Mr Barrett’s Primo 60 oven because it is the first time we have seen one of our ovens incorporated into a themed outdoor kitchen area. And what an awesome theme it is! Based on an American gas station, this outdoor entertaining area sees a red, green and black colour theme meet with all the retro props you’d expect to see including a free stranding gas pump and vintage oil can!
Here is what Dean Barrett had to say when we told him he was September’s Oven Of The Month Winner …
“I’m glad you like it – we love it !!
You can probably guess that the influence for the build was retro American gas station hence the reproduction gas pump and original street signs. The pizza oven was always central to the design and the whole area was planned around it.
We live on a fairly exposed hill where we pretty much continually get wind of some kind which makes any outdoor cooking difficult. An outdoor kitchen made sense which I then constructed over 5 months.
My criteria for the oven was something I didn’t have to spend ages constructing, and that other people had experience of. I found positive reviews at ukwoodfiredovens, and was impressed with the professional look of your website and guidance provided therein.
Performance has been great, we only intend to use the oven for pizzas and its has worked great for this and all the family are really impressed.”
We are delighted that Mr Barrett is making the most of his Primo oven and took his build to the next level by incorporating a unique theme – something we have not seen before – which is why we have chosen him as the winner this month.
