Our 25mm Insulation Board is made from high-heat, commercial-grade calcium silicate, designed to insulate the base of your oven and improve overall heat retention. It is a practical option for helping reduce heat loss through the oven floor while also protecting the surface beneath.
Both the Primo and Mezzo are made from an insulating aggregate and will naturally retain heat for well over 4 hours without adding more fuel. Adding 25mm Insulation Board helps improve efficiency further by reducing heat transfer into the material below and keeping more heat inside the oven.
If you are planning to build your oven in or want added insulation beneath the oven floor, 25mm Insulation Board is a reliable choice. If you want even greater heat retention, we would recommend stepping up to the 50mm Insulation Board or choosing a full Insulation Kit.
