It’s already time for another oven of the month and our October winner is John Jordan’s fantastic Primo 60 Go! His gazebo set up not only looks bright and modern but it also means he can use his wood fired oven whatever the weather! A very worthy winner, thank you for sharing John!
Here’s what John had to say…
“We have used the oven most weeks since we installed it – even through the winter, when being under cover makes a big difference. As you can see from the bunting – birthday and other parties are all pizza parties. Sometimes, on an evening, Rosie and I fire up a couple of logs and just sit around the oven and enjoy the flames and warmth.
We cook kebabs and roast all sorts of vegetables in the oven after a round or two of pizzas. Baked apples and pears are favourite puddings that also come out of the oven.
Our pizza dough has evolved and we now use an equal mix of bread flour, pasta flour and coarse semolina which give a crusty, rustic base. With herbs growing around the ‘pizza parlour’ it is quick and easy to add a finish to the pizzas when they come out.
About Stone Bake – we have only compliments. When we were not certain about buying the oven, you made us most welcome at your offices and took the time to explain all about the oven. When it arrived, everything was fine as it was well packed.”
