Our next featured oven is Steve’s Vento 100 – the crowning jewel of his incredible outdoor entertainment area!
When planning out a domestic garden outdoor cooking space, many of our customers elect to go for one of our smaller ovens. However, Steve has proven that our Ventos and Gustos are just as well suited to domestic settings as they are commercial one. Because his main focus was catering for guests, Steve knew he wanted his oven to have a large capacity and so the Vento was a perfect choice. It’s 1m diameter means that it is capable of cooking four pizzas at a time! Hosting a pizza party has never been so easy!
Steve made it clear that entertainment was his main focus when planning the build:
“We recently renovated the pool area of our house, which the previous owners had let go. To turn the area into an entertaining space and make the most of the spectacular Leicestershire views, we decided to create a lounging/sunbathing area, together with a wood-fired oven, so we could cater for friends and family”.
To achieve the final look, Steve purchased a Vento 100 Oven with a render kit, to create that lovely and smooth cream finish. He customised the decorative archway that is included with all Vento and Gusto ovens and filled the gaps in with grout to create the contrast effect.
He also purchased a Twin Wall Flue system so that he could place his oven underneath a sheltered outdoor cooking space and run the flue through that roof safely. That sheltered area also features lighting, built-in Wi-Fi, and a Sonos sound system, creating a lovely ambiance whilst he fires up his oven.
Now that his oven is up and running, Steve had this to say:
“It has been a runaway success, especially given the good weather. The food has been very popular, with my wife preparing fresh dough and ingredients, while I fire up the oven and then do the cooking… what a team!”
