Description

Namibian hardwood is a premium firewood that has been naturally dried under the hot African sun.
This high-density hardwood is extremely dry with less than 2% moisture content which generates long lasting coals with twice as much heat as kiln-dried firewood. Namibian hardwood is perfect for BBQ’s, fire pits, pizza ovens and wood burners.

Kameeldoring:
Also known as Camel Thorn, however commonly referred to as the “Rolls Royce” of firewood, this
aromatic Namibian hardwood is very dry and dense, resulting in long burn time with high
temperatures.

When compared to European firewood, our hardwood burns more slowly and for longer, generating
more heat with long lasting coals. We are competitively priced against Kiln dried wood and our
process is 100% natural and enviro-friendly (our wood does not go into any Kiln ovens).
Our hardwood logs are pre-cut into 5inch diameter for ideal burning and delivered straight to your
doorstep directly from Africa and meets all fumigation requirements in both Africa and UK.

Sustainability

Firemasters is registered with the UK Forestry Commission and ensures that all imported wood
products have been inspected by the regulated authorities.
Our African hardwood is ethically sourced in line with the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and
Forestry in Namibia.
The Vision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry is where the nation's Agricultural,
Water and Forest resources are sustainably and equitably used for improved livelihood, wellbeing
and wealth for all.
Kameeldoring (Vachellia erioloba) or “Camel Thorn” is a protected species in Namibia, and therefore
strict regulations are in place that prevent the wood from being harvested unless the tree is already
dead or the branches fallen to the ground.
The Namibian authorities regularly visit the farms to carry out inspections and record the number of
dead and living trees.
